Welcome to Out of Sync Therapy for DJs!
We have set up a page specifically for people who work as a DJ or DJ/Producer

Why!

Well, we have spent the last couple of years gathering information, articles, publications, and research around the performance industry, particularly DJs. The unexpected death of Tim Bergling (Avicii) and the many DJs who end up in rehab or therapy as a result of working in the field are a key factor in our decision.

It seems that people who work in the industry have very little access to relevant support and therapists who understand and specialise in working with DJs/Producers. So we have developed services that we think would be of help for those who work in the industry.

Given DJs unique employment and career structure, working conditions, and demands linked with night time economy, pressure to perform and produce music, it seems there is a gap in the market for the right type of support and therapy. Out Of Sync Therapy has been developed with DJs in mind and we have therapists who understand the industry dynamics, work structure, and pressures.

The aim of the DJ aspect of Out of Sync is to provide support, access to therapy and regular blogs on tips for survival in the DJ/producer arena. We plan to have guest blogs from DJ’s who work or have worked in the field. We want to create a forum and opportunity to share experiences, ideas, and tips.

These will include:

  • How to survive the party scene and come out still being able to function
  • How to manage stress and anxiety
  • How to maintain and look after your mental health and wellbeing
  • How to maintain focus and professional attitude to the Job
  • How to develop good sleeping practices
  • How to keep fit and develop interests outside of work
  • How to  develop a good diet and healthy eating on tour

These are just some of the topic areas that will be part of the survival kit for DJs blog and will be elements on offer through Out of Sync for therapeutic support.

So keep an eye out for future blogs and visit our site outofsynctherapy.com
